explores the unique experiences and collective resilience of bisexual women in Australia, with a particular focus on identity and mental health. The study aimed to reframe typical pathologising narratives around bisexual women’s’ experiences and strives towards solution-focused, positive psychological understandings of bisexuality. Drawing from twelve interviews with women around Australia, this presentation outlines key themes, which emerged from this qualitative research: identity formation, intersectionality, a sense of belonging, and resilience. The results highlight the need for further research into these unique experiences, as well as greater support of bisexual women in education, research and the health sector.
